iPhone Apps for Function and Music
What will the iPhone apps store think of next? Probably one that washes your car, does your taxes and cleans out the garage in a single afternoon. We can only hope, but we might get lucky with the wide variety of iPhone apps that are being developed every day. Take a breath, and they probably just invented more. Keeping up on the latest is a fulltime job, but one our bloggers are happy to tackle.

On of the best iPhone apps available for Twitter fans, this app separates Twitter feeds into categories with an interface that resembles everybody’s favorite bubbly iChat interface that has become the face of Twitter. You can even search Twitter and then save the searches. It’s a must for Twitter addicts, as you can even Twit while you are stuck in traffic.
Ocarina
Have an iPhone? Then join your own flute band with the Ocarina. One of the hottest iPhone apps to hit the App Store, the Ocarina puts the iPhone handset microphone to musical use. Blowing into the mic turns your phone into a flute, and you can change the tone with 4 virtual “holes” on the screen to go through a range of notes. Play in a globe mode, and Ocarina users around the world can listen and even participate on the jam. Play flutes with monks in Tibet, providing they have good phone service and a little rhythm.
TapTapRevenge
This app takes the approach of Nintendo’s Guitar Hero. Although it may take a little imagination to “air guitar” your cell phone, this app takes the same approach as the Nintendo game, as you tap blinking lights on the phone to mimic popular tunes. Granted, it’s harder to feel like Jimi Hendrix tapping on an iPhone, but the idea is just as addictive. Tap out a tune and rock the world.

Just reflecting on the past two weeks and thought I’d share a little bit. This shouldn’t bore you - it’s meant to be engaging and useful. This is simply a roundup - that I think will be useful to somebody out there.
Tents
I had a great time mountain biking for a week. The family was supposed to drive to a cabin and hike a mile or two for some real camping. I’ll be clear, I’m not the kind of gullible guy, all too satisfied by watching junk tv without a date on a Friday night. I’d wager you probably never read me ramble on great dating and relationships. No surprise.
Idleness is an unfortunate foreign condition and intentionally never written into my behavioral makeup. Let me go on, Winter of 09 was an exception, I had to put the breaks on a 3-year fling and I felt a great deal for but truly carried on to nowhere. I guess you could go on record saying it may have been a while since I was dating. I don’t hold the great expectations for dating that came naturally before.
Living free and single isn’t bad. I know one thing, I refuse to sit tight, undisturbed, devowering Star Trek Enterprise on my big screen. The number one factor behind this bout of fresh break-up dating apathy? My coworkers are stiffs, and everyone else is boring.
My former football friend, Brandon, who has never had dating apathy, informed me he’s now somewhere he can relate. He introduced me to this Dallas dating service called Great Expectations. A bit out of character, but I take to meeting new chicas who meet my values. Go figure, I bit the bullet and joined.
Be honest, there ain’t room to feel down about not having plans when ya haven’t stepped off the bench. As my college basketball coach Chris Jennings told me as his idea of encouragement, “You’re complaining to the competition, turbo.”
I don’t know why he called me that. But, the man was a source of truth in a good old fashioned way. He always made us laugh. This crazy series of Dallas singles events I just went to might’ve overloaded his noggin’.
At yesterday’s Great Expectations dating events I met a few insightful and desirable women that meet my eye. I truthfully had a carefree night with a few indisputably enjoyable men and women. Went home following a sweet farewell, and as a plus, I developed some professional acquaintances for my business. Very cool.
Get out there. You won’t score if you don’t try. Take it from me, at least have great expectations for yourself.
